My graduation was in audio-visual communication, where I specialized in graphic and motion design.

I developed many explainer videos for clients, condensing complex information into simple, entertaining, and effective audio-visual explanations.

Passionate about design, technology, and especially interactivity, I also took a deep dive into web development and worked for several years as a Frontend Web Developer.

But more than anything… I love learning and teaching. Driven by that, I also lectured for several years at the SAE Institute, teaching programs such as film history, screenwriting, motion design, and cultural studies.

More recently, I started working as a Web Development Instructor in an active learning environment (BeCode), where I develop content, create engaging exercises and frame learners in their self-learning experience.

This whole path naturally led me to become an instructional designer, using digital storytelling and e-learning development to create effective, engaging and interactive elearning experiences.

This is what I do. And this is what I love.

Beyond my theoretical knowledge in design, communication and pedagogy, I developed several technical skills along the years.

In visual design, I’m proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite (Expert in Adobe Illustrator and After Effects, Intermediate in Photoshop, and Premiere) and utilize Blender for 3D work.

In web development, I am proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and several backend technologies that don’t really matter here…

As an e-learning developer I work with Articulate Storyline to build up my learning experiences that integrate all the mentioned skills in a final beautiful and interactive product.

But I am also always eager to learn new things. So if your company works with any other technologies, I’d be more than happy to learn them. I am a fast learner and eager to adopt new technologies relevant to e-learning development.

Analyze: First, I get to know my learners! I figure out what they already know, what skills they need to gain, and any limitations of the training environment. This helps me tailor the course effectively.

Design: Here’s where I get to plan the blueprint of the course. I use storyboards to map out the flow, learning activities, and assessments. I also create graphics, videos and audios to use on the development.

Develop: This is the fun part! I build the eLearning course using Articulate Storyline. Storyline is my go-to tool for creating engaging content with multimedia elements, animations, and characters.

Implement: Time to launch! I use Storyline’s publishing options to deliver the course to the learners in formats compatible with Learning Management Systems (LMS) for easy access.

Evaluate: The course is live, but my work isn’t done! I use Storyline’s reporting tools or LMS data to track learner performance and see how effective the course is. This helps me identify areas for improvement and make the course even better.

I am genuinely enthusiastic, motivated, and always up for a challenge.

I’m a team player who brings 100% effort to every project. To me, there is no point working if it wasn’t the case.

I have excellent interpersonal skills, I integrate easily and create a positive work environment, never giving up in the face of obstacles thanks to my perseverance and tenacity.

Here are some traits I genuinely possess: enthusiastic, cooperative, determined, and a strong desire to do things well.

These are the qualities I’ve consistently heard from my employers and even from my mom!

I was born in Brazil and lived in both Brazil and Belgium intermittently during my formative years.

Belgium has been my home for over a decade now, but a part of me will always cherish my Brazilian roots.

As a good Brazilian, I love football and tasty food. As a good Belgian, I love beer and fries (it’s cliche, I know… but it’s true!). And I am also delighted with the Belgian weather. (Yeah…No… just kidding…)

At night time, History, philosophy, and psychology audio lectures fuel my curiosity, while spending quality time with my wife and daughter reminds me what’s the most important thing in life.

Portfolio.
